Ok. To set the scene.
It is a bank holiday (or something) and you wanted to spend some quality time with your best friends the birds. You know that they will shy away from you so do you:
A: Try and scare them with your horrid bright yellow jacket
B: Dress for camouflage to be a sneaky ninja
C: Birds don't care what you wear. Might as well go for the high heeled look.
D: Something dark or green. No need for the ultra camo though.

Birds also don't present themselves close to you. You cant see them with your own naked eyes. What shall you bring?
A: Why not that monocle you brought yesterday? (to go with your fancy dress outfit)
B: Ninja can't see into distance. Ninja need... Night vision goggles!
C: I would perish at the thought of wearing any glasses to mar my image. I just fetch my contact lenses.
D: Where are my binoculars? *Blows dust of battered black box. There they are!
You are not the most confident twitcher. What happens if you see a great crested grebe and think it was a kittywake? You definitely need some help. What you you use?
A: How about my Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy?
B: I bring Sensi Bob. He know everything.
C: Spotter books? Who needs them! Look over there! That MUST be a turkey!
D: I have a guide somewhere... Where is it now?
Due to your embarrassing sighting of a turkey, (that was actually a sparrow) you are slightly shaken up!

1C - just don't get to wear heels enough, and I think my suede wedge trainers would work well; a nice compromise between looks and comfort
